In 1996, the Nevada State Legislature granted the power to the Nevada Sheriff’s & Chief’s Association to create and manage statewide standards for CCW permitting. Since that time, the organization has completely failed to manage this privilege. Over the years, they have consistently failed to represent the interests of the People. Instead, they have chosen to represent only the interests of their peers—the sheriff’s in Nevada. The State Legislature gave this privilege to the NvSCA to represent balance in the management of one very important Constitutional Right—the right to protect our families and ourselves.
On July 5, 1997, Senate Bill 128 was passed, granting the Nevada Sheriff’s & Chief’s Association the authority to create training standards for CCW permitting.

If you didn't apply for your CCW permit because you were afraid you would fail the test because of your inability to speak English, you need to join the fight NOW!
The Second Amendment is for ALL Americans, yet Concealed Weapons Permit courses around the country are only available in English. This unfairly favors white Americans and creates a hurdle for people who come from other countries or speak other languages.
A person‘s Constitutional Rights are not dependent on how well they speak English. As an organization, CCW EQUALITY advocates for the implementation of CCW courses, curriculum and testing that accurately reflects the diversity in America.
Vegas CCW generously provides funding for CCW Equality through the many classes and events they provide. Please visit them to get your CCW.
Constitutional Discrimination is a systemic system of preclusion of rights based on a person's inability to read, write, and speak English. Certain rights, (like the Second Amendment and concealed carry permits), include a requirement to take a class and pass a test before being issued a permit to exercise certain rights. While this is unconstitutional on its face, it is still a common practice in many states and needs to change.
As we have all heard many times, driving is a "privilege, and not a right", yet citizens can take driving tests in just about any and every language and be issued a driver's license. When it comes to a concealed carry permit, sheriff's departments across the country only offer the courses, applications, and tests in ENGLISH, which favors white Americans. This leads to minorities being unfairly prosecuted because their ignorance of the law is due largely to not having access to the training and education in a language they best understand.
A person can go take a drivers test in a multitude of languages. Operating a vehicle is as much of a responsibility as carrying a firearm. In fact, more people die in automobile accidents every year than from guns. Yet, there are no tests or curriculum available in other languages to ensure that all citizens understand the safety rules for responsible gun ownership and especially concealed carry.
This seriously needs to change.
We don't want "there's no budget for this" to be the reason we don't have CCW equality. That's why our organization uses events and promotions to fund the certified translation of CCW testing and curriculum into languages police departments can implement immediately.
We love our suppor , so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
